Oh yeah, I forgot baked beans. That's the only difference between the two. Blood pudding appears frequently in English breakfasts.

English/Irish bacon is cut from the back of the pig = back bacon. Most bacon in the U.S. is cut from the belly/side of the pig. Basically, U.S. bacon is much more fatty, whereas English/Irish bacon is more lean and meaty, like Canadian bacon, but still cut into strips.

English breakfast > Continental breakfast, although a good continental isn't something to scoff at. Powdered donuts, cornflakes and Folger's at the Best Western is, however, not a good continental.

Oh, and for those of you interested in the breakfast traditions of the UK, I present to you something resembling a Welsh breakfast. Pretty much everything in the English breakfast is served but the difference is cockles and laverbread. Cockles are kind of like oysters and laverbread is a strange seaweed and oatmeal concoction. I'm not really into cockles but laverbread is actually decent.
